Restore & Replenish

This month we are focusing on skin recovery. An emphasis on repairing and nourishing the parts of ourselves, be them internal or external, that may be feeling a bit depleted, or energetically drained. The tendency to often overlook or override these subtle aspects of ourselves is not to be discredited. With that, consider this a soft reminder to take an intentional moment of stillness, and listen carefully for which parts of yourself may be calling out to you most. Tuning into ourselves one gentle pause at a time. A moment upon waking to allow ourselves to be guided by how all parts of us are feeling within the start of the day, a check-in midday to assess how things have shifted, and a closing moment in the evening to integrate all the ways in which we have learned and grown within the day, a wonderful time to offer ourselves some peace of mind and being by reminding ourselves that we have done our best and now it is time to rest. Rest itself is essential to our wellbeing as a whole. It affects our hormone production, impacting our gut health, our mental health, our energy levels, our mood, and of course, our skin. It assists us in maintaining balance both physically and mentally, and provides us with the necessary space and time to process, integrate, receive, and recalibrate. Every fiber of our being needs a moment to reset from time to time without us needing to do too much. Sometimes the thing “to do” is not a thing. There will always be things to do. There will always be time to do them. When we allow ourselves space to rest, we may find a little more rest is just what we need, or we may be guided to our next activity without the immediate “necessity” of planning, managing or executing. By allowing ourselves space to rest, we allow ourselves space to grow. Thinking of ourselves like a beautiful garden, in tending to ourselves and to cultivate that which we wish to cultivate, we require a bit of sunshine, water, nourishment, and rest, not just to survive, but truly thrive.

Our next Women’s Circle will be held on the 17th of September at 7:00 PM, stay tuned for further details and please feel free to follow along on our Instagram for regular updates!

Restorative Rituals

Abhyanga – An Ayurvedic massage practice that emphasizes utilizing herbal oils and intentional motions to promote harmony and provide physical, mental and emotional wellness. It’s best recommended to set aside additional time to rest after, allowing all parts of the self to soak up the love and then follow with a warm shower.

Hydrate upon rising – Set out your favorite glass jar or bottle under the light of the next full moon and savor upon rising. Additionally, beginning the practice of drinking honoring the four directions with gratitude and/or holding a personal intention or prayer in mind with each sip as you begin your day.  Make your own electrolytes – Blend up that leftover watermelon you have in the fridge and add a squeeze of lemon or lime, a bit of salt, and some fresh mint or basil. Cellular level hydration!
