Sacred Skincare
This month we are focusing on the act of welcoming sacred ritual into our daily lives, into the way we care for ourselves, and into the way we care for our skin. Developing a healthy skincare routine can be incredibly beneficial for many aspects of ourselves. Routine can be seen as being synonymous with ritual, the difference seems to be the intention behind it. Routine can tend to feel monotonous, or regimented, meticulously planned, organized, or rigid. It can be attached to a specific or a desired outcome and by being so, feels it does not leave much space for the unpredictable nature of things. In this, routine may feel grounding just as much as it may feel disorienting, dysregulating or ungrounding when depended upon too firmly as a space of stability. When things shift or change, routine can feel confining. Sacred ritual, it feels, is holding space for our personal intentions while being open to whatever comes to fruition from within them. Ritual is routine with receptivity and more flexibility. The act of giving onto oneself, not only to benefit one or several particular aspects of ourselves, but to take into account the entirety of our being. Ritual can be seen as leading with heart as opposed to routinely leading with our mind. By welcoming love and compassion into every action, we are treating every action as it’s own ritual. Engaging in intentional self-nurture any way shape or form directly impacts not only the area we’re directing our attention or intention to, but ripples out into the other parts of us requiring extra love. You may notice when you come to receive a facial with a specific intention or with a specific concern in mind that the underlying concept of concern itself is often addressed through the soothing and nurturing of the nervous system.
The skin is our mirror into the subtleties and intricacies that are stirring within. It shows us how we may be processing internal or external factors consciously or unconsciously and illuminates our responses. If a part of us feels it is unable to respond, our skin has no troubles in indicating that something may be seeking to be heard. It is very helpful that way. Stagnation or an energetic blockage can be caused by the mind attempting to assign meaning unto or reasoning with an emotion, commonly arising in the form of inflammation. To avoid this is to allow our emotions to flow freely without chasing them to their source. To allow our thoughts to be our thoughts without digging deeply into them.
When we allow our hearts and minds to be open, our energy flows freely.
When we allow ourselves to give and receive love, the act of giving and receiving becomes effortless. Effortlessly, routine and ritual coalesce. Allowing us to cultivate and develop unwavering healthy habits and structure.
“The body is a temple, the mind is an altar, the heart, it holds the sacred.”

Fire Cupping Special
Now until the start of the new year, we will be offering a special on fire cupping. As the weather cools, the holidays ensue, and the energy around us and within us develops the tendency to become a bit scattered, it feels no better a time than amidst these shifts to welcome in a moment of grounding warmth and relaxation.
Soothing Autumn Rituals
Dry brushing. Dry brushing helps to promote lymphatic flow, move stagnant energy, and regulate oil production. After showering or bathing begin by taking gentle, small strokes from the feet upward, moving toward the closest primary lymph nodes or ducts. Work from the feet up is not only grounding but helps to properly facilitate lymph flow by opening upthe lower portions of the body first for stagnant energy to drain most effectively.
Warm baths with epsom salt. Epsom salt baths help to soothe our muscles and nerves, and assist in detoxifying our cells and drawing out impurities by gently cleansing and exfoliating our skin. Light some candles, turn on some soothing tunes and soak for 20-30 minutes.
Nourishing meal preparation and consumption. So much of our physical vitality, mental clarity and emotional wellbeing stems from the health of our gut and what we put into it. How we digest food impacts how we are able to digest thoughts, and process emotions and vice versa. Consider treating every meal we prepare or consume a sacred act of sustaining and nourishing our total wellbeing.

A friendly reminder that we are making a few adjustments to our service pricing.
